The Iron Helm is not forged in some legendary forge or blessed by a saint; it is hammered from ordinary iron ore in the small workshops that dot the roads between settlements. A traveling hero, a merchant's guard, or a young adventurer pulling their first shift in a mine will all recognize the same dented, riveted silhouette. The game's broader lore places the player in a world where the Light is fading and darkness creeps from the edges of the map. In that context, an Iron Helm is not merely a stat block—it is the first tangible sign that the hero is preparing for a world that will not be kind. The lack of any magical glow or engraved runes is itself a statement: this is the armor of someone who has not yet earned the attention of the Light. As the player progresses through the campaign, the Iron Helm is quickly outclassed by rare and epic helmets that shimmer with elemental auras or grant active abilities.
